I’m not too old but I think it was easier raising children to be upright when we were growing up compared with now, because of all the distractions and misinformation going round on the internet, social media and even on our television stations. This means we have to be more vigilant and guide our children carefully in this era. We have to be deliberate about the way we raise our children now in order to churn out good and responsible future leaders.
We can all play our part by starting from our homes, churches, mosques, communities, visiting our former schools frequently to mentor and guide our young ones by encouraging and motivating them to stay focused and not be distracted by internet, social media and television stuff.
These young ones are our future leaders, so we cannot leave them to their fates in the midst of all the distractions going on, if we want to have good and responsible future leaders.
