Empowering Girls to Stay Focused and Avoid Early Pregnancy

In the past, we used to talk about teenage pregnancy, but nowadays we talk about adolescents pregnancy instead because, we now have young ones who are not yet teenagers but also sometimes get pregnant once they have reached puberty. As we mentioned in our previous discussions, Adolescents are people from age (10-19) years, whilst teenagers are those in their teens.

Since most people in basic schools are within this age group, it’s important for us to keep on encouraging our Adolescents, especially the girls to stay focused, keep on reading their books and also learn some new skills to improve on their talents. Studies show that girls who are not in school are more likely to get pregnant. Friends, let’s all take it upon ourselves to be advising our Adolescents especially our girls to stay focused, and not to allow themselves to be impregnated during this temporary period that they’re not in school.
